Ministry Coordinator – The River Opawaho Part-Time: 10 Hours per Week
The River Opawaho is seeking an organised, proactive, and passionate Ministry Coordinator to support the vibrant life of our church community. This new role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation and development of our ministries and mission initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Leadership of the Ministry Leaders Team
Coordinate and lead quarterly meetings with ministry leaders to provide guidance, updates, and encouragement. Oversee weekly and monthly rostering to ensure all volunteers and leaders understand their roles and are well-supported in contributing to the church's ministry.Support and Empowerment of Ministry Leaders
Provide resourcing, training, and encouragement to leaders of our mission spaces, Connect groups, and Sunday Gathered Space. Facilitate the establishment and growth of new missional projects or ministry groups, ensuring leaders are equipped to succeed.Logistical Support for Ministry Activities
Ensure leaders have the materials and equipment necessary for successful gatherings and events, including Go Sundays, church camps, and other ministry spaces. Coordinate practical needs such as supplies, transportation of gear, and setup assistance.Policy and Procedure Oversight
Maintain and update church policies to ensure a healthy, safe, and compliant environment for all activities. Provide training for ministry leaders on church policies and procedures, integrating these into quarterly meetings as appropriate.Communications Management
Monitor and respond to communications directed to the church's primary email address and PO Box. Action inquiries and administrative tasks, including managing church correspondence and basic financial account needs.Building and Space Oversight
Manage the logistics of church-owned and utilised spaces, including building maintenance, insurance, rentals, and supplier relationships. Oversee cleaning services and ensure necessary resources are available.Database and Information Management
Maintain and update the church database to ensure accurate and efficient communication. Advise on best practices for managing member and ministry information, including integration with the church website.Key Attributes
