About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Ministry Assistant!
You will be responsible for supporting the Corps Officer, Leadership Team and Ministry Worker in delivery of the mission of The Salvation Army and the Maryborough Corps through development and facilitation of ministry and community programs.
Reporting to the Ministry Worker, this is a Permanent Part-Time position, 24 hours per week, based in Maryborough, QLD.You will successfullyGeneral administration tasks including assisting with rostering in accordance with TSA procedures, accurately and within agreed time framesProvide customer service and assistance to community members, including providing approved welfare support and referring to relevant internal services, or external partners as required Pastoral care and discipleship activities are undertaken as agreed with and needed by Ministry WorkerAll ministry activities are carried out in accordance with TSA policies and proceduresSupport leadership with set-up and pack-up of program and activities (i.e.
school breakfast program; and community meals), ensuring engagement and safety of all involvedSupport the supervision, engagement and record input of Mission Volunteers as requiredYou will haveA commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation ArmyAn ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel Experience in a Ministry position (desirable) Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus e.g.
Network providers (i.e.
