Ministerial Adviser – Early Education

About the role
Provide portfolio, political and general advice to the Minister that aligns with the objectives of the Northern Territory Government. 
To be considered for the role, you should be able to demonstrate:
Background and experience in government, public policy, parliamentary offices or the preparation of policy advice.Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise advice.Ability to prioritise and deliver outcomes in a fast paced environment, ensuring quality and accuracy of information presented to the Minister. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work productively and collaboratively in a small team.Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive matters and show sound judgement.Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational advice on the development, implementation and valuation of government policy initiatives. Participate in departmental briefings with or on behalf of the Minister on matters related to the portfolio and parliamentary responsibilities.Prepare reports, briefings, speeches and correspondence, including Ministerial and Legislative Assembly briefings.Research, analyse and develop new policy initiatives that align and support the values and objectives of the Northern Territory Government. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with departmental officials, key stakeholders, ministerial staff and other external parties.Demonstrate and model the highest standards of discretion and personal integrity. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and ensure the confidential handling of sensitive information in line with government policies. How to apply Please email your applications through to [email protected] before the advertising closing date 11 October 2024.
