About the opportunity WesTrac is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Mining Support Manager to join our Resource Industries team in Mount Thorley. Reporting to the Mining Business Manager, this role is responsible for managing customer site relationships, implementing aftermarket sales strategies to drive parts and service growth, and ensuring the Caterpillar equipment fleet meets or exceeds performance targets.
As a Mining Support Manager, you will oversee a skilled team of technical and account management professionals, providing superior fleet solutions with the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO). This position enables you to significantly influence customer relationships and business growth, thereby contributing to the success of our clients in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities Work proactively with customers to identify aftermarket and technology sales opportunities and influence for future opportunities.Development and execution of aftermarket sales strategy by site.Account management (KPI reporting, issue resolution, account disputes) for allocated customers.Proactively managing fleet performance and continuous improvement to drive TCO.Review and provide development feedback on customer proposal preparations.Contract negotiation at site level for aftermarket supply and service.Develop and maintain a high performing team, driving safety and culture aligned to our Company values.Develop the customer site sales budget and own the two to three-year parts, service and solutions forecast.Develop and maintain effective relationships and influence with senior site management.Skills & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce/Engineering or similar is highly regarded.Experience successfully leading a sales team, ability to drive performance and accountability.Understanding of Heavy Mining Equipment 'Total Cost of Ownership' modelling coupled with Commercial experience in the mining industry.Proven communication, relationship development & negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.Effective account management.Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines.High level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow through with required actions.Why WesTrac As one of the World's leading Caterpillar dealers, WesTrac services a broad range of customers across NSW, ACT & WA.
