The Role An opportunity exists at our operation for a Mining Supervisor – Mine Services to join our team. As an integral member of the mining team, you provide strong leadership to drive a high-performance, safe and productive work culture, role modelling and reinforcing the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation.
Reporting to the Mine Services Superintendent, you will be primarily responsible for:
Working with Mine Services and Mining Superintendents to achieve production and other targets across the operation; Working closely with all stakeholders to ensure the safety of your team; Rehabilitation shaping compliance supervision; Performing the role of Contract Supervisor for Mine Services contractors in the Mining Department; Ensuring Mine Services contractors are compliant with the Ravensworth Contractor Management System; Demonstrating flexibility to assist meeting water management requirements; Utilising relevant Work Authorisations and Permits to safely manage contractor tasks. About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
A NSW Open Cut Examiners Practicing Certificate; Extensive knowledge of NSW Coal Mining & WH&S Statutory Obligations; Evidence to support the maintenance of competence for the Practicing Certificate; Extensive knowledge of open cut mining operations. The ideal candidate will thrive on identifying continuous business opportunities and demonstrate a high concern for the health and safety of others, maintaining a safe workplace by actively following safety systems and ensuring adherence to all company HSEC policies and legislative requirements.
