Our Opportunity Work Location: Eliwana, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people Roster: 7D7N7R FIFO ex Perth Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, our Eliwana operation is seeking a highly experienced Mining Supervisor with a passion for people and leading teams to success.
This role will be focused on providing coaching and leadership support to the team who share a vision of being the safest and most efficient Mining group.
The Mining Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of load and haul functions within operations.
Key Responsibilities Safe and effective supervision of a Load and Haul production team including the coaching, mentoring and development of personnel Provide visible positive leadership by demonstrating safe behaviours at all times and displaying the Fortescue values, whilst managing the effective utilisation of the mining fleet Manage expectation setting and performance reviews of team members to ensure a successful pathway is built for all team members Providing support and input into mine planning processes to ensure mining plans are achievable and allow for efficient mining Communicate with all relevant stakeholders to execute the daily mine plans safely and efficiently Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in a Mining Supervisor with a passion for coaching and people development Strong leadership experience with the ability to engage and empower large teams alonside a proven commitment to safety Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Strong understanding of efficiency drivers in a large-scale mining operation Knowledge of WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulation Our Commitment Fortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
