About the Role This is a rare opportunity to work with a small team and be involved in an exciting green field gold project with a wide degree of responsibilities.
Based on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and reporting to the General Manager, the Mining Superintendent will be responsible for the effective management of the Mining function of our Warrawoona Gold Project.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Assuming the role of Quarry Manager, as required Coordinating Engineering activities and providing Leadership, Structure and Guidance to the Mining Department Promotion of constructive employee and contractor relations. Ensuring short term plans and designs, drill and blast plans and weekly mining plans are developed, delivered and adjusted as required Ensure project planning, control and management is conducted effectively including waste management optimisation. Prepare monthly and quarterly development and production schedules and face positions and report on compliance to the plan Demonstrates and encourages visual and effective leadership across the site and within the community. About the Person To be considered for this role, you will require: 7+ years operational experience – Open Pit gold mining is preferred. WA Unrestricted Quarry Manager Certificate Extensive practical experience working with mining contractors. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant law and regulations specific to mine sites Shortlisting for this role will commence immediately.
