Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Supervisor – Mining Production Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You'll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. About the role: To provide visible supervision and ensure the safety, performance and improvement of the team and to deliver the daily and weekly plan. Accountabilities: • Responsible, on a shift-by-shift basis, for compliance to the weekly plan to achieve established KPIs. • Responsible for the proactive scoping of weekly plans of the relevant function • Responsible for ensuring shift handover is successfully managed. • Responsible for communicating accurate and relevant information and insight to line management on performance for a shift, 24-hour period, and against the weekly plan. • Responsible for demonstrating safety leadership and ensuring compliance to MRM policies, standards and procedures for the Load and Haul team. Successful applicant will have: • 5+ years opencut mining operations experience • Demonstrated understanding of the application of open pit mining equipment • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for open pit mining. • Experience supervising and developing large work teams to deliver business outcomes. • Basic level Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) • Knowledge of and experience in budgeting processes At MRM, we support the Northern Territory first, and Territorian applicants or those prepared to relocate.
