The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Mining Engineer with experience in coal and scheduling to join a high performing and successful team with opportunities for long term career growth.
Based on site at a coal mine in North QLD, this role provides excellent work-life balance with an 8/6 roster and paid flights from either Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Townsville or Rockhampton.
Living on site you will be less than a minute from work with meals, accommodation (inc. on-site gym, golf simulator & wet mess) and PPE provided.

In this role you will be responsible for: Undertaking short term mine planning activities including mine designs and scheduling to meet contract requirements.
Building positive working relationships and coordinating with operations teams to develop plans, schedules and designs.
Providing and delivering plans to operational personnel and monitoring progress against plans.
Continuous improvement initiatives and technical advice Tracking operation KPIs and commercial progress Developing your career and covering as Tech Services Manager when required.
What you'll need to succeed: Must be located in Australia and hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Bachelor of Engineering (Mining or Civil) Experience in Open Cut Coal Mining & Scheduling S1,2,3 (G1,8,9) and G2 Experience in Coal Mining Strong working knowledge of Spry or equivalent software packages is highly desirable Current Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain) A current Queensland driver licence.
