With approvals in place out to 2046, the mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.Malabar Resources is an independent Australian-based resources company located in the Upper Hunter Valley, in New South Wales.In addition to the Maxwell Underground Mine, we own the Maxwell Solar Farm based on rehabilitated land on the Maxwell Infrastructure site, Maxwell Infrastructure, the Spur Hill Underground Project, and agricultural properties including the Merton Vineyard.ABOUT THE ROLEDue to our ongoing growth, we are now seeking an enthusiastic Mining Engineer to join our team.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will assist the Technical Services Team by providing engineering expertise to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the mine.
The incumbent will also contribute to the mine design, planning, scheduling, and securing operational approvals to maintain uninterrupted mining activities.As the successful candidate, indicative tasks and responsibilities may include:Developing initial productivity assumptions based on historical performance and data considerationsUtilising production modelling tools to schedule mine outputs (tonnes, metres etc.)
