Mt Owen Glendell Operations (MGO) Mine located in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, 20 kilometres north of Singleton, contains the Mt Owen, Ravensworth East and Glendell mines. The integration of these operations enables all sites to use a single coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) and infrastructure at Mt Owen Mine.

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Drill and Blast Engineer at MGO as a key member of our Technical Services Team. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation and planning of Drill & Blast designs and schedules across our operation. The successful applicant will work closely with the Production teams in executing these plans.

The requirements for success in this role include: Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining/Civil or related field)Proficient with Mine design and Blasting packages (such as Vulcan and BlastLogic)Two years' relevant experience desirableAbility to effectively communicate across various levels of an organisationSelf-motivated and forward-thinking team memberCommitted to fostering a culture driven by safety and continuous improvementYou will have a high regard for the value of teamwork and the provision of visible leadership. The above qualities must be exercised with a strong work ethic to ensure MGO's key values of Safety, Responsibility, Simplicity, Integrity, Openness and Entrepreneurialism are achieved.
