Ensuring we provide value to our clients through all stages of mining is a mainstay of our business and we have the expertise and equipment to deliver total mining services to any surface operation.Burton Mine: Located approximately 2 hrs from Mackay and 50 minutes from NeboBroadmeadow East Mine: Located approximately 2 hrs from Mackay and 50 minutes from NeboBlackwater Mine: Located approximately 1 hr from Emerald and 2.5 hrs from RockhamptonGoonyella Riverside: Located approximately 30 minutes from Moranbah and 2.5 hrs from MackaySaraji: Located approximately 20 minutes from Dysart and 2.5 hrs from MackayBUMA Australia provides a range of services and equipment at our projects including heavy mobile plant, labour, supervision and technical support, drill/blast and statutory roles.As BUMA Australia grows, we are seeking genuine expressions of interest from qualified Mining Engineers to join our various project teams in the Bowen Basin on a permanent full-time basis.Reporting to the site Technical Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for short-to-mid term mine planning, scheduling and optimisation along with the following:Develop and implement daily and weekly mine plans and schedulesDevelop and implement operational mine designsCollaborate and communicate with Production to ensure mine plans are realistic, achievable and accurateFoster productive relationships both internally and with the Client, actively demonstrating behaviours including honest and open communication, teamwork, trust, processes and systems and embracing a "best for project" philosophyWork with the client to improve and optimise planning and scheduling outcomesEnsure mine plans and schedules are compliant with the site Safety Health Management SystemPrepare weekly and end of month reportsAssist in developing and teaching graduate and student engineersSupport risk management processes and participate in investigations of hazards and incidentsAbout You:Tertiary qualifications in Mining or Civil EngineeringPrevious experience in the mining industry (Coal preferred)Demonstrated knowledge of sound mine designAbility to work closely with production and maintenance operational teamsHigh standard of written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skillsAdvanced level of computer literacy and the ability to analyse and parse dataExperience with common mining software packagesStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsCompany description:BUMA Australia's vision is to be a leading mining service provider contributing to future energy solutions.
