An equipment and mining services company backed by a team with 40+ years of mining and civil experience. Mineco has operations throughout NSW, QLD & SA that provide mining services in a wide range of fields incl. equipment operations, road base rock crushing, specialist operator and mining strategy training, engineering/technical services, and equipment maintenance. Mineco has a position available for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to showcase their skills and add value to its mining services operations. This is an opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver a quality service to our valued clients throughout the Hunter Valley Region.
About YouYou will have proven experience in managing the day to day running of a Maintenance teams in a workshop environment and have proven experience in costing allocation for service, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment, including Haul Trucks, Dozers & Loaders.
The Maintenance Supervisor will be a passionate leader who understands the importance of company compliance and the role supervisors play in developing workplace culture. You are a great communicator and organiser and have a natural ability to develop trusting relationships across all parts of the organisation.
What we offer:A fantastic opportunity to be part of a team of experienced maintenance professionalsOpportunity for future growth and career developmentA strong culture that promotes our people and takes pride in our deliverablesA support structure that provides guidance and experience across compliance and legislative requirementsYou will be responsible for:Achieving performance targetsSafe execution of operationsForward planning of maintenance scheduling inclusive of improvement strategiesUnderstand and maintain compliance with process and procedure of all staff & contractors on siteTimely completion of all company deliverables and actionsMaintaining client relationship through open communicationCommunication with key stakeholders with regards to:Downtime and recoveryPlanned workArising problemsCosts incurred outside of normal scopeEnsuring all applied toolboxes are understood and followedManagement of personnel inclusive of:OT coverageDisciplinary action where requiredEmployee requestsEmployee change of conditionsEnforcement of employee roster and work timesYour Skills and Experience:Certificate of Proficiency in Plant Mechanic or equivalentRelevant Supervisor Certificates – G1,8,9 (formerly S1,2,3) or willing to obtain.Proven experience in managing day to day Maintenance operations, including the planning and coordination of maintenance rebuilds of Mobile plant equipment to site specific standards.Strong understanding of all aspects of cost management including time sheets and cost code to ensure all costs for the site are captured and allocated accurately.Ability to complete equipment inspections and audits to drive reliability.Sound communication and organizational skills.Strong safety and performance culture with commitment and ability to lead the team to ensure work is to the highest safety standards.Ability to make business critical decisions and problem solve.Ability to work to plan to achieve business goals.Minimum 2- years' experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role on a mine site.Ability to use Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.At Mineco, we recognise that we are strengthened by Diversity, we are an Equal Opportunity employer and encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent, Women and people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
