If you possess an interest or background in open-cut mining equipment, along with prior experience in the mining sector, we encourage you to get in touch with us!In this role, close collaboration with Underground (UG) Mining personnel, Processing Plant personnel, and fleet maintenance is essential. Thus, possessing strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate effectively would greatly benefit the position.Please note that this position is located in Orange, NSW, and operates on a rotating 7/7 roster, requiring the successful candidate to work alternating day and night shifts.Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To Ensure a safe working environment by understanding and enforcing all site Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Safety requirements.Participate in Surface Operations Team activities to execute approved plans and achieve targeted outcomes.Familiarize yourself with the daily plan and contribute to shift start meetings.Raise and complete Business Improvement initiatives.Comply with the Company Safety Management System and Environmental Plan to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.Report all safety incidents immediately and conduct workplace inspections and documentation audits.Perform Operational Critical Control Checks (OCCCs) in accordance with Critical Control Management guidelines and address non-compliances.Ensure procedures are suitable for their intended purpose.Engage in Risk Assessments, Management of Change, and Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEA).Adhere to Safety Bulletins.Coach and mentor team members in line with Newmont values.Foster a safe and competent workforce.The Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess The FollowingPrevious experience in mining.Familiarity with open-cut mining equipment would be advantageous.Experience in poly pipe work and poly welding ticket.Our commitment to you Our people bring our organisation to life.
