An opportunity has arisen for a Mine Technician to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia.
In this role, you will report to the Mine Operations Supervisor and work on an 8:6 (days) and 7:7 (days) roster.
Your focus will be on ensuring the stability and safety of the underground mine by preparing, applying, and monitoring backfill material in the voids left after ore extraction.
Your primary responsibilities will include:Coordinating backfill operations with underground mining teams to ensure that schedule requirements are met.Overseeing backfill construction, including fill reticulation installation, shotcrete barricade construction, shotcreting activities, and the setup of exclusion zones.Operating and maintaining equipment to prepare and apply backfill materials to voids.Maintaining inspection, monitoring, and testing routines during filling to ensure that product specifications are met.Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on backfill operations, including material usage and equipment performance.Complying with all safety standards, processes, and procedures while demonstrating exemplary behaviour.About You
Our ideal candidate will have exposure to underground mining environments, preferably in a backfill, paste / CHF, or service crew position.
