Mine SurveyorOur client is a well-established Mining House with multiple Base Metals operations within Australia. They seek to add an experienced surveyor to their team at their Underground mine in NSW. Working a 5/2 Residential roster, this role will suit someone who enjoys the technical challenge of a busy underground operation.Reports to – Technical Services SuperintendentDutiesProvide Surveying Services to Underground MineSetting out and marking up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule.Accurate delineation of hazardous areas including voids.Carry out end of month processes for development and stockpile reconciliation.Attending technical and daily production meetings, and collaborating with the Senior Mining Engineers and the Mine Foreman.Ensuring the survey priorities align with the operational team and resourcing to complete tasks are sufficient, e.g. shot clearance, shot markup, delineating historical underground workings & Ikon pickup.Training and mentoring the Surveyors and Surveying Assistant in the correct methods and standards.Manage risks appropriately when completing daily mine survey tasks.Design Verification to ensure Standard Underground Excavation Procedure.Liaison with and offer advice to Geology, Environmental and Health & Safety Teams.Assist in the Building and Updating of Accurate 3D Mine Models.QualificationsRelevant Degree or Diploma and Registration with Industry Body.Underground Mine Surveying Experience.Proficiency in organizing and completing daily underground survey tasks.Experience with Deswik software packages and end-of-month processes and systems.Strong Communication Skills.BenefitsCompetitive Base Salary.Superannuation and Company Benefits.Residential 5/2 Roster.If this role sounds right for you, please call Chris Giles – Principal Mining Consultant on +61 426 964 490 for a confidential discussion or email ******.
