This position offers an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) or drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and takes advantage of our top-class village, or you can live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.
This roster is 8/6 and a 12-hour day.

About the roleReporting to the Senior Surveyor, the purpose of this position is to provide spatial support to the mining operation on a day-to-day basis.
The position will entail liaising with the environmental department to ensure environmental risks and obligations are identified and that permitting requirements are met to facilitate project development.
Key ResponsibilitiesLiaising with the Surface and UG mining teams to ensure survey support is timely and effective.Working within the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 and the Mine Surveying and drafting Guidance Note (QGN19).Conducting regular as-built surveys and maintaining the digital mine model.Accurate and timely set out of mine design (Underground, Lateral Development, Vertical Development, Production rings, Infrastructure).Undertaking monitoring surveys, both surface and underground.Extension, maintenance, and rigorous checks on the survey control networks.Accurate End of Month (EOM) reporting for the mining and stockpile areas.Upkeep and drafting of mine and emergency plans and appropriate calibration and testing of survey equipment.Accurate and timely collection and delivery of Aerial photogrammetry work.Mentoring trainee and graduate surveyors to assist with their development.Demonstrating behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values and Safety Principles.Maintaining survey controls required to manage environmental risks (particularly regarding disturbance) effectively.About youThe right candidate has experience with Underground Mining and will have solid analytical and problem-solving ability, good attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high standard of work.
You must have excellent time management and prioritisation of stakeholder requirements.
Be self-motivated and proactive to achieve individual, team, and business goals.
Minimum RequirementsTertiary qualification – Degree or Diploma in Surveying (Mine) Preferred.SBQ Registration or the ability to work towards Preferred.RPAS Certification Preferred.2+ years of mine surveying experience and sound understanding of survey principles and practices.Positive attitude towards exhibiting and promoting good health and safety behaviours.Competent with the preparation of mine plans and instructions.Competent with the calculation and reporting of EOM figures.Technical competencies with survey hardware and software.Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders throughout the business.At Evolution, as our name suggests, change and transformation is in our DNA.
