Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be expected to (in accordance with the Survey and Drafting directions for Mining Surveyors) produce and administer plans, maps, files, charts, and reports to assist Rasp Mine to safely and effectively achieve mining objectives.This is a residential position on a 7 and 7 roster x 12 hour shifts.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements associated with all aspects of mine surveying on the mining leaseAccurately set out survey control for mine development, longhole stoping, and diamond drilling activitiesAccurately survey "as-built" and CMS surveysReview, update, develop and implement survey standards and proceduresMonthly development and stockpile surveysQuarterly Emergency Plan updatesQualifications:Degree in SurveyingAt least 5 years surveying experience in an Underground mining environmentWorking experience with Microsoft Office, Surpac, Deswik, Leica instruments, and Cavity Monitoring SystemsWorking knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements associated with underground miningAustralian Drivers LicenceAbility to communicate well, perform as a team player, and have a commitment to safety.Professional Development Opportunity:Our Company will provide financial support if you are looking to become a Registered Surveyor.The successful candidate will be offered an attractive salary package including relocation assistance, subsidised housing, and salary packaging opportunities.Location:Broken Hill, NSW, Australia – a well-established city with excellent amenities and a strong community network.
