The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia's highest-grade copper mine.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mine Supervisor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in underground mining operations, particularly in copper.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily mining activities, ensuring that production targets are met safely and efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily underground mining operations to achieve production targets.Ensure all mining activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of miners and operators, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Monitor and report on production performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.Collaborate with technical teams, including geologists and engineers, to optimize mining plans and schedules.Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including production reports and safety documentation.Qualifications and Experience: Significant experience in underground mining, with experience in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of underground mining techniques, particularly in copper mining.A solid understanding of Australian mining regulations and safety standards.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage teams.NSW Mine Supervisor Certificate/TicketProficiency in mining software and systems is an advantage.Conditions: This position is offered on a residential, drive in drive out (DIDO) or fly in fly out (FIFO) basis from Sydney or Brisbane on a 7/7 roster.
