The Financial Adviser is responsible for the delivery of personal advice to Mine Super members which is aligned with Mine Super's strategy and key business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:Provision of personal financial advice to members of Mine Super Fund (face-to-face; video conference and telephone advice)Provide comprehensive advice to members comprising multiple complex strategiesEnsure effective communication (both verbal and written) with members to develop strong client relationshipsComply with Fund, regulatory, and licensing requirements in delivery of adviceProduce work which complies with RG175 best interest duty and meets compliance requirements, contains accurate information and service standardsAssist with the preparation and delivery of ongoing member advice communication and education, including current and accurate seminars and workshopsUse all approved financial planning tools available to prepare clear and concise Statements of Advice to membersRecord accurate file notes in a timely manner and maintain client files in accordance with business processesWork with Advice Service team to enable the preparation of advice that meets licensing compliance requirementsEnsure all advice documents are accurate prior to presentation to the memberRespond to day-to-day service or advice related queries from members either by telephone, video conference or face to faceSatisfy requirements of the annual training plan and maintain CPD registerResearch and maintain technical knowledge of products and trends in financial planning, investment markets, industry and legislative changes to allow for the provision of complex superannuation and non-superannuation advice, including:Structures such as companies, trusts, superannuation funds etcCashflow management and budgetingDebt adviceSuperannuation – including self-managed super fundsWealth creation strategiesDefined Benefit superannuation analysisRetirement income streamsSocial Security analysisTax minimisation strategiesRedundancy planningRisk InsuranceEstate planningSupport other teams within Mine Super with customer follow-upActively promote brand awareness and customer value proposition internally and externallyCommunicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on key deliverablesProvide support to peers to help others strengthen their specific knowledge or skillsTake action to improve existing practices and processes, by identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas and implementing solutionsBuild and maintain relationships with the wider business, sharing best practice and identifying ways to improve member experienceEnsure our integrity is maintained and risk exposure minimised by adhering to policies and procedures, including appropriate review of materialsKeep abreast of best practices, new technologies, industry knowledge and trends; make recommendations and oversee incorporation as appropriateUnderstand the wider business strategic plan and direction and articulate how customer management contributes to the delivery of strategic initiativesSkills and Experience:Completion of Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning qualifications in financial planning (mandatory)Bachelor Degree in Financial Planning or relevant degree with alignment to FASEA education standards (mandatory)RG146 compliant (mandatory)Completion of specialist advice training, eg. SMSF, equities, estate planningDemonstrated ability to provide high quality personal advice5 years financial planning experienceDemonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer serviceDemonstrates superior conflict resolution skills and the capacity to handle difficulties in a calm and positive mannerExcellent understanding of superannuation and financial services industryWillingness to continually update knowledgeSuperior communication skills both verbally and writtenAbility to co-ordinate workflow and meet deadlinesAdvanced IT skills, able to efficiently and effectively use all Microsoft Office programsWe look forward to your application.
