Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy) THE ABRA PROJECTAbra Mining Pty Limited (Administrator's Appointed) is seeking a Mine Planning Engineer for a full-time position with the company based at our Abra Mine. Abra is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest standalone lead-silver projects capable of producing "Metal in concentrate" of between 90 – 100ktpa lead and 600 – 800kozs silver per year.The Abra Mineral Resource geologically consists of multiple mineralised zones predominately consisting of an upper over-laying sediment bound Apron zone that sits above an underlying hydrothermal feeder system called the Core zone.The most recent LOM plan (1.5Mtpa) based on the MRE2023, grade control model updates and ore mined to date contains 16.3Mt @ 6.9% Pb indicating a mine life of 10+ years.The Abra Mine construction and commissioning was completed in late 2022 and production ramp up took place during 2023, the mine has now reached steady state production volumes.The underground ore mined is processed through a conventional processing plant, to produce a high-grade lead-silver concentrate that is exported via the Geraldton Port.THE ROLEThis is an exciting time to join Abra as we enter our second year of production.Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer you will be responsible for delivering the detailed monthly mine plan & designs required to meet the 12-month mine plan to maximise the NPV of the underground operation, and ensuring that the highest technical and safety standards are maintained.Key duties of the position include:Production of final designs on new ore bodies and/or new areas.Updating physicals and status changes from final designs into mine ScheduleEnsuring Stope reconciliations are completed and report providedEnsuring mine design Mine Works Instructions are designed, approved and distributed as per the schedule to meet the monthly plan and for 12 month forecasting purposes.Provision of monthly plan data and required tasks to project and production staffWorking with Ventilation Officer in the development of Ventilation circuits for stope design.Working with the Engineering team on the development of stope shapes and sequence.About YouYou will haveBachelor's degree in Mining EngineeringMinimum 3 year's mining experience, in an underground environmentEngineering software skills and knowledge (Deswik skills and knowledge highly desirable)Experience with completion of level designs and monthly/quarterly schedulingExperience in economic assessments inclusive of development and infrastructureCurrent "C" Class Western Australian driver's licenseFirst Class Mine Managers Certificate and/or WA underground Supervisors Certificate will be considered favourably.ABRA LIFEFIFO 8:6 roster ex Perth, or DIDO from regional centresShort, direct flight from Perth to SiteNew camp, with a sport facilities, a fully equipped gym and WiFiWork alongside a collaborative inclusive teamEAP support provided HOW TO APPLYIf you are ready to be part of the Abra base metals project, which is set to be one of the world's biggest primary lead mines upon reaching full production, APPLY NOW!
