Mine Planning Engineer

As a large open cut mining operation in the Northern Territory, McArthur River Mining (MRM) allows you the opportunity to make a difference in a fast-paced and exciting environment.Safety is the focal point to the success of MRM. Everyone at MRM is responsible for contributing to the operational disciplines that ensure we are all safe - this is critical in our day-to-day work.Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be accountable for developing daily and weekly schedules that align with the monthly schedule and achieve monthly targets. This will be completed through detailed planning, engaging stakeholders, understanding of monthly schedules, projects and costs, dump construction methodologies, and long-term strategies. Driving processes that involve validating inputs and reconciling previous performance is the responsibility of the engineer and an integral part of the planning process to ensure the most efficient plan can be developed.
