Cement Australia has an opportunity for a Mine Operator to join the production team at our East End Mine. Established in 1981, the East End open cut limestone and clay mine is located just outside of Gladstone, seven kilometres from Mt Larcom. East End supplies raw materials to our Fisherman's Landing plant via rail and produces in excess of 2.5 million tonnes of clay and limestone annually. Reporting to the Mine Team Leader, the Mine Operator position is a multi-skilled operator role utilising varied pieces of mobile and fixed equipment. This is a permanent full time role and the successful candidate can start immediately. About the role: As a Mine Operator you will: Use varied pieces of mobile and fixed equipment Maintain and repair various equipment Participate in toolbox meetings Conduct safety inspections Work independently and part of a team Follow QLD Mining and Quarrying Safety & Health Act and Regulations. Roster Rotating 7-day shift (even time roster) About you: To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: Experience & certification in Rigid Haul Truck / Water Truck (HD465 & 775G), Front End Loader (990K) Ability to prioritise and work to a plan You will ideally have: Experience & certification in Excavator (PC850) (desirable) Crushing Experience High Risk Licences eg. Forklift, (desirable) Experience with Stacker / Reclaimer Systems, Crusher and Rail loadouts (desirable) Mining, quarrying and civil construction experience (desirable) Safe operations are a priority for our people and our business.
