The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and the primary role is to develop, implement and maintain maintenance strategies for Maintenance teams in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet statutory, Company OHS&E and Company operational standards within the Maintenance Department.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Follow all reasonable instructions.
• Accurately plan all corrective, preventative and/or shut maintenance to maximise efficient and effective execution of the maintenance team
• Develop accurate Work Packs that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance execution
• Improve business systems through Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
• Be considered a leader in Work Management and be able to provide coaching and training effectively
• Raise notifications in SAP
Health, Safety and Environmental Requirements.
• Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations and company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety through positive leadership.
• Have a strong commitment to safe working practices.
• Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements.
• Positive re-enforcement and communication of all safety related requirements.
• Full compliance with all Company SH&E policies and procedures
• All staff and contractors within area of responsibility comply with SH&E standards and procedures.
• Reduced frequency of injuries or incidents within area of responsibility.
• Pro-active role in safety and toolbox meetings
Experience & Other Requirements
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry
• Minimum 2 years as a Maintenance Planner at another mine site
• Computer literacy - Microsoft Suite, SAP required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all Work Management tasks.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved Asset Management procedures and practices.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
• Experience working on gold processing plants – desirable
• Trade qualification – desirable
• Australian drivers license
