Advancing everyday life. Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation. Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will be responsible for coal quality including reconciliation of coal qualities and coal tonnages, and daily coal mine and stockpile planning by working closely with the Mining Operational, Logistics, CHPP and Mine Planning teams. Additionally, your duties will include Geotechnical hazard monitoring and high wall mapping, along with involvement in short term modelling updates. About You: Tertiary qualification. Proficient with geological modelling software. Experienced in open cut coal mining (essential). Ability to effectively communicate across various levels of an organisation - will set you apart from the rest. Ability to demonstrate safety and leadership.
