ABOUT GEMCO Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production.
Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

As the Geologist Mine, you will provide mine geology and production control for maximising ore recovery and ROM stocks quality control for the GEMCO operations.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Implement and validate the grade control system and processes to minimise ore loss and dilution.
Create and validate grade control plans and communicate with production in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with operational and technical teams across site to deliver across the GEMCO value chain.
Participate in the continuous development and improvement of all geology systems, processes and their execution.
ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: Experience working in a similar role within Mining or Exploration.
Full drivers' licence.
Geological modelling skills (Vulcan and Leapfrog preferred).
Geostatistical/sampling methodology and QAQC skills desirable.
Ability to successfully deliver outcomes that consistently meet or exceed targets.
