About the RoleEngeny is seeking Engineers or Scientists with between 3-10 years demonstrated experience in Mine and Asset Closure to join our passionate and motivated team.
Plan and manage the development of mine closure plans and closure designs, including driving closure design, closure cost estimating, and supporting strategic reviews.Collaborate with our national group of closure practitioners, including closure planners, engineers, and environmental scientists in delivering our business strategy for Closure and Remediation.Support and manage technical engineering design activities including landform design, slope stability analyses, tailings cover and capping design and surface water management design.Contribute to engineering studies throughout the project lifecycle, including management of conceptual designs, in both a project engineering and technical integration capacity.Develop mine closure plans and other regulatory documentation against industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards.Undertake site visits to client sites where required.Delivery and coordination of projects and proposals, including project management.Support the well-being, development, and resourcing of team members.Support and approve associated technical work directly related to the discipline and in project management capacities.Participate in client management and business development.Play an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training and business planning.About YouA tertiary engineering degree (Civil, Mining, Environmental etc) or equivalent degree with demonstrated experience in mine closure planning and/or engineering design supporting closure projects - transferrable skills that may be applicable will be considered in assessment of applications.A commitment to the principles of closure and asset transition and career goals in this discipline.Experience in the preparation and management of closure cost estimates (or costing for civil execution works) would be highly regarded.Highly adaptable, big-picture view with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.Comfortable working collaboratively and within a team, thriving on new challenges, and able to work under pressure.Excellent transferrable technical skills including data analysis, technical engineering documentation including design specifications.Strong communicator, both verbally and in written communication.Business acumen, including fostering client relationships and identification of new opportunities.Demonstrated project management experience.Experience in project management, the management of junior engineers, and a willingness to develop business development.The applicable criteria will depend on the levels of experience, skills and knowledge.The BenefitsCompetitive remuneration with pathways to business ownership.A structured learning and development framework to align with career progression goals.Central Perth office location with interstate offices in QLD, NSW and VIC.Flexible working arrangements, including remote working options and the opportunity to work in a full-time or part-time capacity.An inclusive team culture that celebrates performance and rewards accordingly.Paid Primary Carer Leave Policy, reflecting our commitment to work-life balance.Support structures like our Employee Assistance Program, professional mentoring, and buddy program for new starters.Opportunities to work on special interest projects.Opportunities to work across government, private and resource sectors.Opportunities to travel for work across multiple offices and to client sites, gaining exposure to different geographies and valuable exposure to site operations.Great cultural environment where teamwork and camaraderie are promoted and valued.Supportive leadership based on openness.If you are looking for a new challenge, want to participate in the ownership and growth of a successful business and join a passionate and entrepreneurial team, then don't wait, apply today!
