About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible as a Mine Accountant for:
Leading the operational forecast and budget processes for each end of month report. Developing financial reports to enhance operational knowledge and business value. Monitoring and analyzing cost performance against forecast/budget. Facilitating monthly cost review meetings with Department Managers. Assisting budget holders with variance analysis for operational and capital expenditure. Conducting balance sheet reconciliations. Managing AFE and capital reporting. Overseeing gold shipments. Key Requirements for Success
Tertiary qualification in accounting, preferably with CIMA/CPA or professional accounting membership. 4+ years accounting and reporting experience within the mining & resources industry. Experience with ERP systems, Excel, and knowledge of data modeling (ideally PRONTO Xi). Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Australian Citizen/Australian Permanent Resident/New Zealand Citizen. Located in the Goldfields (desired). Ability to pass a pre-employment medical. Obtain National Police Clearance.
