KEY RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS POSITION IS TO: Empower and support your teams to ensure the safe, accurate and efficient picking and processing of all orders through to dispatch within agreed timeframes. Manage the team to achieve a cost-effective and safe operation within the NSW warehouse by use of the business and system; MLS-WMS processes and procedures. Obtain a strong level of system; WMS-MLS knowledge to lead and coach teams.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES Always ensure compliance with all appropriate and applicable WHS policies and regulations to ensure a safe working environment is maintained. Ensure your teams have the right balance of resources to achieve safe, efficient and effective operational output. Drive the team to achieve pick and dispatch within agreed lead-times. Support and coach the team to achieve a consistent pick accuracy to minimise inventory loss, and achieve high customer satisfaction. Ensure that pick face replenishment is optimised and completed on a timely basis. Liaise with the Inventory Team to improve system & physical inventory differences and issues are resolved promptly to minimise delays in picking. Create training and support opportunities to ensure all Team Members are effective in the use of our MLS-WMS system and their associated operational procedures to the inbound, picking, packing and replenishment teams. Support the cycle count program put in place by the Inventory Team. Work with the Inventory Team to ensure that pick faces are in optimum areas to increase warehouse picking throughput. Manage MHE resources to assist the receiving and putaway functions to meet agreed targets in conjunction with other Teams. Lead the accurate planning of labour hours on your shift to support Team Leaders and provide accurate requirements to the shift manager for all resources: Labour MHE RF/Voice Equipment Prepare and report day/weekly/monthly as appropriate on agreed KPI measures and analysis to ensure all targets are exceeded. Ensure aisles and pick faces are always kept clean and tidy in accordance with the expectations set by the Warehouse Management Team. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Demonstrated experience in process improvement and continuous improvement with respect to picking/replenishment activities. Experience in documenting processes and procedures. Experience in managing picking and replenishment teams within a FMCG warehouse environment. Experienced in picking/replenishment within a large (20,000 plus pallet) warehouse, managing a team of 25+. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of picking, replenishment, cycle counting & training staff on the use of the relevant warehouse management system -WMS; SAP, Microlistics - MLS. 2 years plus experience using complex WMS, for Inbound, Outbound and Inventory processes.
