Millbrook Group is a fast-paced, and growing, managed funds business specialising in private credit. Our small and tight-knit team is looking for a Junior Credit Analyst to join our office in Melbourne.
About the Role
As a Junior Credit Analyst at Millbrook Group, you will play a crucial role in assessing and making informed decisions on credit applications from borrowers seeking development funding in the residential markets. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will gain exposure to a broad range of credit transactions and develop your skills in credit risk analysis and underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and make informed decisions on credit applications from residential developers and borrowers. Review financial documents and supporting information to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants. Analyse credit risk and ensure underwriting decisions align with Millbrook Group's policies and risk appetite. Ensure all lending activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and customers. Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit systems, processes, and reporting. We are looking for : a driven and detail-oriented individual who has:
A university degree (finance, economics, or related field is preferred but not mandatory). 1+ years of experience in a similar role (ideally with some exposure to the financial services sector, though this is not essential). Is confident working with data and has a natural ability to analyse complex financial information. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders. A commitment to accuracy and an eye for detail. What We Offer
