Millards Lawyers

According to records maintained by the Law Society of New South Wales, Douglas J Millard was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1957. He practised in the Sydney CBD for several years before moving in 1966 to Avalon where he commenced practice as a sole practitioner.
When he first came to Avalon, Doug occupied premises in the Garden Court Arcade in Avalon Parade from which he continued to practice until his death in December 1991. Some months after his death, the practice was sold and Doug's dedicated team of legal secretaries continued to support his many clients. With their purchase of the practice in April 2009 which is still located in Doug's premises in Garden Court Arcade , Helen and Mary Alice together with their committed staff are again delivering common sense solutions for your peace of mind.
In her working life, Helen worked firstly a high school teacher with the Department of Education. She then worked in assessing and appeals in the Australian Taxation Office and later as a lawyer in private practice both in Sydney and regional New South Wales.
Mary Alice has an exclusively legal background and has worked variously in a large Sydney CBD law firm, as a sole practitioner and as Corporate Counsel for a global publishing company before returning to private practice in Avalon.
