Reference Number R2564 Job Type: 2x Full Time Positions Package Band 6 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $93,602.60 to $101,911.16 per annum plus statutory superannuation. We're currently searching for two skilled and highly driven Environmental Health Officers to join our organisation in a full-time capacity. This position is vital in keeping the community safe by ensuring public and environmental health measures are upheld to the highest standards.
Financial relocation assistance may be available to support a move to our region for the successful applicants.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our community's health and safety. You'll be conducting inspections and assessments of registered premises and vehicles, ensuring they meet all required regulations. You'll also support the Environmental Health Coordinator to tackle various public health challenges, such as managing infectious diseases and mosquito control, and resolving nuisance and pest issues. Additionally, you'll contribute to health education and promotions within our community, assist with domestic onsite wastewater control, and monitor Aquatic Facility water quality.
What you will bring
Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following:
A Diploma or Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent. It is desirable to have two years' experience working as an Environmental Health Officer. Member (or to be eligible to become a member) of Environmental Health Professionals Australia. Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one. Current Drivers Licence.
