Mental Health Clinician – Aged Persons Mental Health Service Full Time – Part Time Considered The Service: The Aged Persons Mental Health Service (APMHS) is a community-based service for people aged 65 years and over, with mental illness or who are at risk of developing mental illness, or behavioural difficulties associated with organic disorders of a degenerative nature.APMHS also offers care for people under 65 years who exhibit symptoms of a degenerative diseases.
The Role: In this community based position, clinicians have the opportunity to build a relationship with their patients as they provide recovery focused treatment and support to persons experiencing mental illness throughout all stages of recovery.You will have the ability to apply a broad range of clinical skills through an integrated care model including initial assessment, case management, review and referral. The role may also see you provide service to the older person in our acute mental health In-Patient Unit and the Emergency Department.
APMHS is a complex patient focused service that will see you provide care in and out of the office regularly to meet the needs of your clients who often present with multiple physical co-morbidities.

This position is classified as an RN3, SW2, OT2 or Psych2 under the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement.
Up to$10,000incentive payment applies to eligible candidates Be reimbursed, for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) toprovide incentives to attract workersto roles that are difficult to fill.
The regional mental health workforce incentive grants will support the attraction, recruitment, and retention of new workers to priority positions across state funded mental health services in rural and regional Victoria. This role has been identified as being eligible for an incentive payment ofup to $10,000. * Eligibility criteria to qualify for this incentive apply.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is beingadministered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
