Tell me more...Weipa Integrated Health Service (WIHS) is a Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) Level 3 facility, servicing Weipa, Napranum, Mapoon and the Western Cape York Region.
The Weipa Hospital has 1 main birthing suite.
The Weipa Maternity Service incorporates a Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) providing a continuity of care model in the form of a known midwife to women and families accessing the Weipa Maternity Service.
The Weipa Maternity provides antenatal and postnatal care to women in the western cape, the service will additionally provide intrapartum care to low risk women in the Weipa region.
