The Midwifery Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of high-quality midwifery care within Intrapartum Services at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). This position ensures that patient care is safe, compassionate, and evidence-based, while optimizing resource use and fostering a collaborative, supportive work environment. In your new role, you will lead the team in line with organisational goals and the principles of Patient and Family-Centred Care, as well as guide professional practice and the integration of research findings into care delivery.
You will also be responsible for workforce management, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and professional development, and will lead efforts for service improvements, quality initiatives, and the implementation of organisational changes.
Ideally, you will possess Current unencumbered registration with AHPRARecent management experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experienceDemonstrated experience in managing key priorities and delivering successful strategies to deliver service outcomes and KPI's within tightly defined resourcesWorking for Sydney Local Health District This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2024_015).
