We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance team as a Maintenance Specialist - Carpenter on a permanent full-time basis located in Geraldton.

About the Role The Maintenance Specialist - Carpenter role is accountable for providing general skills and competencies associated with the maintenance and construction duties for the port's infrastructure.
About You Key Qualifications and experience (To be addressed in Covering Letter):
Proven construction and concrete formwork installation experience 5 years' experience in the construction/building industry and practical carpentry experience Understanding of maintenance programmes and schedules Formwork/concrete and painting maintenance experience The ability to prioritise and manage concurrent projects Experience working well in a team environment A working knowledge of health and safety requirements High Risk Worker Licence to perform- (LF) Forklift, (WP) Elevated Work Platform, (CN) Crane and (DG) Dogging – desirable and qualifications can be obtained following commencement but must have the ability and willingness to obtain Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for positions in the public sector.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the advertised vacancy. However, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. This option remains valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
