Mid-Senior Legal Counsel - Banking & Finance (4 - 5 days per week)

Are you looking to elevate your legal career within the Banking and Finance space?We are looking for a mid-senior lawyer with a minimum of 5-10 years post-admission experience for a 6-month project with one of Australia's leading banks, to start ASAP with the potential to extend.The right candidate must possess strong skills and a broad knowledge of working on banking and finance transactions gained at a prestigious national or international leading corporate or financial institution.Skills & Experience Required:An Australian qualified lawyer with wealth and/or retail banking experience who has expert knowledge and experience of the Australian banking and financial services legal regime.Consumer law, including in a regulated environment.Experienced with providing legal advice around financial products (other than lending), retail customer contracts and commercial contract negotiation.Privacy & AML/CTF experience will be an added advantage.Other Attributes:Show the ability to constructively challenge, consult and advise whilst maintaining excellent relationships.Effectively negotiate, influence and engage stakeholders as a trusted legal adviser.Self-motivated and can operate with varying levels of supervision depending on the role.A strong commitment to exceeding expectations and delighting your clients.An ability to quickly understand, adapt and operate within the client's business culture.Display the ability to connect and build relationships.To apply:If you are qualified, interested, and available, please send the following:Your updated/most recent resume (please ensure it has your email address and phone number).Confirmation that you are an Australian qualified lawyer, holding an unrestricted practising certificate.Your availability to interview this week and next week using blocks of time (the greater flexibility, the better).Your requested daily rate.
