They are currently in an exhilarating research and development phase, creating minimally invasive, pain-free Microwearable devices that access key health signals within the body in real-time.
This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to pioneering wearable technology by leading research on skin biomechanics to design innovative, pain-free, minimally invasive microneedle sensors for continuous health monitoring.
What you'll do:As a Biomedical Engineer at WearOptimo, you will be a technical authority in skin biomechanics and microneedle interactions.
Your role will be pivotal in advancing the sensor platform, ensuring the reliable and reproducible penetration of microneedles into the skin.
You will work closely with our research teams developing innovative methods to characterise tissue-material interactions, optimise sensor designs, and refine the Microwearable sensor to meet the demands of real-world applications.
Leading research to design innovative, pain-free, minimally invasive microneedle sensors for continuous health monitoring.Contributing to the development and evaluation of new sensor designs, ensuring high-quality reproducibility and real-world functionality.Designing and conducting experiments to validate microneedle application and stability within the skin.Creating experimental protocols, validation methods, and testing frameworks.Influencing the technical and strategic direction of Engineering at WearOptimo.What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Biomedical Engineer role at WearOptimo will bring advanced qualifications in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
You will have proven experience in biomechanics research focused on microneedles, micro/nanomaterials, and skin biomechanics.
Your strong analytical and modelling skills in biomechanical systems will be crucial in contributing to the development of our groundbreaking wearable health technology.
