Event Management (Advertising, Arts & Media) Are you ready to embark on an exciting career in the Audio Visual industry? We are looking for a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Crew Controller. This is a full-time position.
Microhire is one of Australia's leading Event Staging specialists, and we've been going strong for 30 years. We provide a diverse range of audio visual and digital technology services to our corporate clients and venue partners.
Your primary task will be managing technicians throughout the day to ensure that all our operational requirements are suitably serviced.
This role would complement a highly positive and enthusiastic person, an adaptable individual who is highly driven to connect on a human level and has an understanding of the life of the technical crew in the corporate events space.

Monitor crew schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Handle crew disruptions and provide timely solutions to maintain operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with crew members, ground staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless crew movements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of crew information, including leave, duty time, and rest periods. Utilise crew management software and systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Ensure that crew hours worked are fully recovered against all jobs. Attend internal department meetings to ensure clear communication with crew and to discuss upcoming event planning and logistics. Carry out general administrative duties. Skills and experience required to apply for this role: Prior experience in crew control, crew scheduling, or a related field is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent planning, organisational, time management & project management skills. Customer centric and ability to build strong and long-lasting customer relationships. Previous experience in serving high-end clients is highly regarded. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines. Experience in the hospitality or AV sector. Qualification in Hospitality or Events. Team player. Proficient in using crew management software and other relevant computer systems (will be an advantage).
