Laboratory Assistant | Microbiology  The Company
You will be working for an ASX-listed global manufacturer that has been in operation for the last 20 years, with offices across Australia, the USA, Canada, the UK and Europe.
With a global HQ and manufacturing site in Sydney, they are developing and manufacturing an Australian-made product used across the globe.



The role 
Reporting to the lab manager you will be working closely with Senior Scientists on the research and development of disinfection equipment used in the medical device industry.
Day to day you will assist the laboratory team with media preparation and maintaining the equipment.


Other duties and responsibilities include:
Prepare and sterilize microbiological media and other reagents and perform QC checks. Clean and maintain laboratory glassware, equipment, and environment. Maintain laboratory records in accordance with the QMS. Assist with biohazard waste disposal. Assist in the maintenance of laboratory consumables stocks. Manage the inventory of laboratory gowns. Assist in equipment calibrations in accordance with the QMS.
About You  Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or similar or a tertiary qualification relevant to microbiology Previous experience in a laboratory environment Strong verbal and written communication skills  Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously  Able to work in fast paced environment  Full working rights for Australia  The Benefits  Attractive base salary An opportunity to work in research and development Be a part of launching a new product  Work for a company that embraces diversity and equal opportunity Career growth in the medical device industry What's next?
