About The Company And Role Our client is a well-known testing laboratory, providing a wide range of analytical services on food and agricultural products, located in the southern suburbs of Perth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate with Microbiology experience to join a growing organisation in a close-knit team.
The role is a contract role with potential to go permanent.
The successful candidate must be willing and flexible to work on a rotating weekend roster as required.
Reporting To The Team Leader, Your Responsibilities May Include Routine microbiological analysis of various food materials, including total plate counting, coliform testing etc.Media preparationSample preparation (batching and weighing)Sample receipt and data entryGeneral laboratory housekeepingThe successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Science, majoring in Microbiology, Food Science or another related discipline.
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Microbiology, ideally from a food-related industry.
You will be a quality-focused individual with excellent attention to detail, have good communication skills, a willingness to learn and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
