Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complimentary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. Job DescriptionDandenong South VIC 3175, AustraliaCasualOperating in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this modern contract-testing laboratory is seeking a casualMicrobiological Laboratory Technician with sound analytical skills for an immediate start.
Accredited with the TGA and APVMA, the high-tech facilities encompass a broad range of analytical equipment primarily used in the Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Bioanalytical sectors.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a positive attitude, willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced, friendly environment with a dedicated team of like-minded professionals.
Candidates must possess the ability to follow standard operation procedures, to prepare and QC test various media. Additional experience in the maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment will also be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be trained to assist the Microbiologists, with tasks such as labelling of samples, ensuring the laboratory is well stocked with consumables and removing clinical waste as required. The successful candidate may also be trained in confirmation of presumptive results, finalising results and entering results into the eLims database.
QualificationsA minimum of a TAFE qualification in Laboratory Techniques with a strong interest in Microbiology or Biochemistry or a related discipline is essential.Prior laboratory experience ina TGA, NATA or ISO accredited laboratory will be well regarded. but not essential.Graduates encouraged to apply.To be successful in this position, you will have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work within a team with minimal supervision to tight timelines.Sound Report writing skills will round out the desired qualities sought for this position.Imperative to the successful operations of this highly respected testing facility is a strict understanding and adherence to the cGMP quality system, consideration of time-sensitive workloads and the accurate and thorough recording of all results, activities and deviations encountered during the varying stages of analysis.
