I am recruiting an experienced and driven Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial operations and contribute to the continued success of the company.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial strategy, reporting, compliance, business improvement and driving the overall financial health of the organisation.
Description
As CFO, you will oversee all financial operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are achieved.
You will report directly to the Freo Group President and play a key role in ensuring the company's financial performance, compliance, and growth.
Your key responsibilities include:
Corporate Reporting & Compliance
Supervise, mentor, and guide the Finance team to ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods.
Ensure adherence to statutory reporting and compliance standards, including managing audit programs and ensuring timely audit completion without material adjustments.
Taxation & Cash Flow Management
Ensure the company's tax compliance, managing quarterly tax memos and staying updated on any changes in local tax laws.
Actively manage accounts receivable, including reviewing customer accounts, credit limits, and bad debt provisions.
Drive cash flow management to maintain positive working capital and low DSO.
Billing & Accounts Receivable
Improve billing processes through Power BI dashboards and address any arising issues.
Ensure that new customer accounts are appropriately reviewed, including conducting checks for creditworthiness and managing credit limits.
Support the accounts receivable team in managing compliance and communication with clients.
Leadership & Business Development
Lead the finance team and foster a culture of respect, accountability, and teamwork.
Actively drive business development initiatives to drive company growth and promote new business opportunities.
Develop a positive and collaborative team culture through leadership, development, and training programs.
Promote and adhere to Freo Group's Equal Employment Opportunity policies and procedures.
Profile
You will be a qualified finance professional with a minimum of 10 years commercial finance experience combined with a proven track record in leadership and financial management.
With an eye for detail, you will work closely with General Managers across Australia to provide insight and recommendations, achieved through your engaging communication skills combined with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
You will have a proven track record of coaching, managing and leading finance teams, combined with experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering on complex financial projects.
Previous ERP systems and business intelligence software experience, combined with a track record in a capital and labour-intensive industry, will be highly regarded.
