Job Description As a Senior Solicitor, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with personal injury claims, particularly in historical abuse matters. You will manage complex cases, providing expert legal advice and representation while ensuring their clients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the process. You will work closely with counsel, medical experts, and witnesses to gain evidence and prepare for hearings.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice and representation to clients in personal injury matters, with a focus on historical abuse cases. Manage a caseload of complex claims from initial consultation with the partner right through to resolution, including negotiations and court appearances. Work closely with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their circumstances. Collaborate with the team to develop legal strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. Stay up-to-date with developments in personal injury and abuse law. The Successful Applicant Minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in personal injury law, with demonstrated expertise in historical abuse matters ideally but not an essential. A compassionate and client-focused approach, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and care. Exceptional advocacy and negotiation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage a busy caseload effectively. Admission as a solicitor in Australia and a current practicing certificate.
