Job Description
This dual-focused position oversees
internal (70%)
and
external (30%)
communications, reporting directly to the Head of People.
You'll manage a skilled writer on your team while collaborating with HR, business leads, internal and external partners.
Internal Communications:
Craft engaging news stories and communication materials tailored to a diverse workforce (blue- and white-collar teams).
Overcome unique challenges, such as limited email access, using tools like InSite, PowerPoint, posters, and flyers.
Support leadership presentations with scripting, teleprompting, and audiovisual guidance.
External Communications:
Shape social media, website content, and brand strategies.
Manage recruitment marketing and event branding.
Serve as the initial media liaison, assisting in crisis management and corporate projects.
Management:
Oversee one direct report, who works autonomously.
The Successful Applicant
We're looking for an agile, relationship-driven communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment.
You're someone who:
Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, partners.
Balances strategic vision with hands-on execution across internal and external communications.
Enjoys leading a small team while rolling up your sleeves to deliver results.
Is comfortable travelling occasionally.
Mining or resources experience is a MUST.
Bonus points for experience with:
Canva, Adobe Suite, WordPress, or similar platforms.
Working in industries where flexibility and adaptability are key.
