Job Description The Director - IFRS Consulting will provide a range of technical and strategic, financial and corporate reporting advice to clients. In addition to the breadth of IFRS exposure and complex challenges, this role will have a lead role in supporting our clients that now have a responsibility to report under the new sustainability reporting standards.
This role will also be a part of the National IFRS team that provides you with a network of like-minded specialists to offer further support, collaboration and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Will Include Interpret and provide input into the development of new technical accounting solutions that support client delivery and risk management teams across Brisbane Provide specialist technical advice on the application of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards, including Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards to clients in relation to complex transactions Reviewing and assisting with financial statement disclosures Research into and development of responses to changes in IFRS accounting standards Assist with the growth of the IFRS Advisory (nationally) team through the development of a suitable professional profile and other marketing and business development activities Lead and grow the IFRS and CFO Advisory team in Brisbane alongside the well established team and Partner group Support additional CFO Advisory projects as required The Successful Applicant A successful Director - IFRS Consulting should have:
An advanced understanding and practical experience with IFRS - this must be clear on a CV. Evidence of successful leadership in a consultancy role within a professional services environment. A proven track record in developing and implementing IFRS compliance strategies. Strong relationship building skills with a customer-focused mindset. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial standards in a clear, concise manner.
