Job Description
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data for the business. Predominantly related to Retained Terms reporting, which includes understanding, documenting, and managing the accounting processes for rebates at the general ledger level. Additional responsibilities include preparing monthly performance reports for the Buying and Merchandising teams, and acting as the Finance Business Partner for the Buying, Merchandising, and Retail management teams.
Key focus areas include:
Monitoring Retained Terms (rebate earnings) from supplies Analysing the efficiency of supplier-funded promotions, including sales impact and completeness of rebate claims Improving operational efficiency in warehouse, distribution, and company-owned retail stores Tracking actual performance against the plan Timely and accurate processing of financial reports, adhering to deadlines Assisting the Leadership Team with the timely resolution of queries from both internal and external stakeholders Receiving positive feedback from stakeholders Developing effective relationships across the business The Successful Applicant
At least three years experience in a Commercial Analyst/Accountant role within a retail or FMCG business is preferred A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance CPA designation (or similar international qualification) is highly regarded Knowledge of ERP systems - expertise in Microsoft Navision and Business Central being advantageous. Experience with system implementations is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytic and organisational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters A proactive attitude and the ability to show initiative What's on Offer
