About Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.
Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client centred, accessible and family inclusive. MHDAS is entering a new phase of co-design of our service system with people who access our services and our wider community. This will build on our nationally recognized unique cultural approach to the challenges of recovery-oriented service delivery to redesign our service system.
About the facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role This is an exciting leadership opportunity within our brand-new Central Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, located in the heart of Geelong. As the Team Leader for Administration, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational success of the Central Hub by leading and managing the administrative functions. Your responsibilities will include the recruitment, supervision, and training of our Administration Staff, ensuring that they are well-equipped to meet the needs of the service. You will be the central coordinating point for all administrative support functions, directly contributing to the efficient and effective operation of the Hub. This role also involves working closely with senior managers, providing them with the administrative leadership and support necessary to deliver high-quality care. Your ability to handle multiple complex demands and maintain organizational excellence will be key to your success in this role.

About you Administrative Leadership, with proven experience in supervising staff and supporting senior managers, particularly in a healthcare setting. Technical expertise with advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and software relevant to patient records and healthcare administration, accounts/billing software. Strong Communication Skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a focus on clarity and professionalism. Confidentiality and Privacy: Strong knowledge of confidentiality and privacy principles in healthcare. Organizational Excellence with well-developed communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple complex demands. Team Player with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and flexibly within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining effective relationships even in high-pressure environments.
