About the Role
Due to significant growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Group Procurement Manager. This role is pivotal in managing and executing all procurement and supply chain activities to support our food manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include overseeing logistics, inventory management, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain and Procurement Management
Execute day-to-day procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring adherence to company processes and KPIs.
Continuously improve supply chain functions considering company strategy, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.
Ensure all vendors meet company policy, aligning in agility, cost, process, and payment terms.
Control and update all departmental procedures and ensure adherence to the required controls. Supplier and Vendor Relations
Reconcile supplier statements and manage current supplier agreements/contracts as required.
Facilitate monthly SLA reporting sessions with suppliers to assess performance across the supply chain.
Conduct bi-annual benchmarking for 3rd party supplier costs, enhancing cost-efficiency and payment term benefits. Inventory and Asset Management
Manage master data accuracy and availability.
Oversee asset management and system optimization, including potential implementation of new systems.
Develop and maintain operational BI dashboards to monitor divisional activities and outputs. Financial and Budget Management
Oversee departmental budgeting and ensure compliance.
Optimize costs and identify areas for expense reduction within the supply chain. Reporting and Communication
Facilitate daily and weekly reporting and lead departmental meetings.
Communicate updates regarding dates, costs, delays, issues, and non-conformances across the value chain. Compliance and Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, promoting the welfare of all team members.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of the role. Attributes Required
Commercial and financial acumen. Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Understanding of governance and ethical standards. Qualifications and Experience
Degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a relevant qualification. Netstock System implementation experience is essential. Post-graduate degree advantageous, especially in best practice business principles. 3-5 years in a leadership role within a supply chain or procurement setting, ideally in manufacturing. Experience with ERP, WMS, and DPS systems. Knowledge of dry ingredients, dairy, thermal processing, or cold storage is beneficial due to product sensitivity and customer expectations. Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
