The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team based in Brisbane. As a leading construction company, we seek dedicated individuals to support our QLD operations. You will report to the Project Manager and play an essential role in contract administration activities, including managing procurement programs, administering contracts, cost control and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Your duties will include preparing and monitoring procurement schedules, administering variations, managing project cash flow, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and more.

As a Contracts Administrator , you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth administration of contracts and effective project management. You will also:
Prepare and monitor procurement programs in coordination with the project engineer/manager Prepare trade package tender documentation and purchasing schedules Proactively identify opportunities to improve project performance Administer variation submissions and ensure accurate progress claims to clients and subcontractors Manage subcontractor and supplier agreements, including progress claims Manage project cash flow, ensuring the project remains cash positive Maintain quality control registers and recommend improvements for efficiency Attend site meetings and manage project documentation, including drawings and revisions Implement HSE and environmental practices to maintain a safe project environment More About You As someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative project environment and as part of a team, you will bring:
5+ years of experience in a similar contracts administration or project management role Proficiency in Jobpac software preferred Strong knowledge of head contracts, subcontracts and cost control procedures Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail A positive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work proactively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure A focus on quality and risk management to ensure the successful delivery of projects Why Mettle We believe in creating strength for the future through our people and values.
